2014-15 Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel Bullet/Stinger Competitive Test Report
Testing was conducted per TR001149 on the GBE 2015 Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel to determine the performance of the Banks Bullet Tuner (P/N 66526), Banks Stinger System (P/N 48604) including Air Intake (P/N 42260) and Dual Exhaust (P/N 48602). The vehicle was tested on the chassis dyno to measure power and torque output at the rear wheels and 0-80 MPH acceleration times in each configuration.
Power testing was run from 3000-3900 RPM because at WOT the vehicle upshifts near 3900 RPM and downshifts between 3000-3200 RPM. The 3000-3900 RPM range is a good representation of the range that the engine will operate in the vehicle while operating at wide open throttle. The testing was run in 6th gear and traction control was disabled since the front wheels were not turning. Each run was started at the same EGT and ECT to maintain consistency between tests.
The results show that the Banks Bullet tested with a best power gain of 37 hp @ 3400 RPM. The Bullet dominated this field of competitors. When the Banks air intake and dual exhaust were added to the Bullet the power output at the shift point increased by 9 Hp causing the engine to continue pulling hard all the way to the shift point.

0-80 MPH Acceleration Summary
Acceleration testing from 0-80 MPH was also conducted on the dyno. The results in Table 6 show that the Banks Bullet had the best 0-60 time of tuners tested. The addition of the air intake and dual exhaust made a significant improvement to the perform. It reduced the 0-60 MPH time by 1.1 seconds, 0.4 seconds greater than the Bullet alone (0.7 second improvement). That improvement increased significantly in the 0-80 MPH time, a reduction of 2.1 seconds.

Accurately and Scientifically Measured on Banks Chassis Dyno Performing an FTP-75 Emissions Test
This test provides the results of flow testing on the Banks single exhaust. The flow potential of the Banks exhaust is almost double that of the stock exhaust.

The Banks Bullet and Stinger system provide significant improvement over the stock vehicle and the competitive products tested. The Bullet alone adds 37 Hp to the stock engine. The Banks Stinger airflow improvements increase power output from the power peak all the way to the shift point increasing power output by 9 Hp at the shift point. These gains make a noticible impact on the performance of the vehicle as shown in the acceleration times measured in this test. The Bullet improved the 0-80 MPH acceleration time by 1.4 seconds and the Stinger improved the time by 2.1 seconds. The Banks products clearly beat the competition and provide welcomed improvement to the performance of the Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel truck.
